Hotel tap water is usually heavily chlorinated, and hotel kettles are full of limescale. What to leave at home
Glass carafes, gooseneck kettles (a hotel kettle plus a slow pour is fine), ceramic drippers, and anything with a battery you have to explain at security. Also skip the metal filter unless you like sediment — paper filters weigh nothing.
